Struggling with Chronic Conditions in a High-Stress Job

Does anyone have a high stress job? I’m a licensed mortician and I have been fully licensed just over 3 years, but working in the business about 6. I have a lot of chronic conditions, probably most serious being lupus, and I don’t know how much longer I will be able to keep the pace up I need to; I was on call this weekend and got called out every night at least once and I feel so tired and achey today I almost cannot take it. How do you know when it’s time to step back? Or even go on disability? I’m only 31 but I just feel myself getting worse and worse and I’m sure the toll this career has been taking on me isn’t helping.

I have a high stress job. And I often feel burnt out. I’ve taken a number of steps to improve my physical and mental health so I’m in tip top condition for work. I’m also 32 years old. I exercise and do yoga three times a week. I started on a small dosage antidepressant that gives me motivation. I eat really healthy and watch my calories. Try to stay hydrated. It’s still hard most days. But with all those steps it’s a little less hard.

I am currently on Wellbutrin and I can’t tell if it helps or not. I’ve been on it about 4 months and I can’t tell much of a difference. I do need to work on hydrating myself better, but I do exercise at least 3 times a week even if it’s just taking a walk or jog. I recently lost 100 lbs and I thought that would help and it has but not nearly as much as I thought it would .
