Struggling to Connect with Females as a High-Functioning Aspie

hey I don't quite understand this app u got it for people to talk to and maybe find a girl with the same issues as me or at the very least understands me but this app doesn't have pictures so u don't know who taking to i just don't think I fit in with the ratio here haven't seen any other people with aspergers ASD I'm extremely high functioning I'm a genius is most regards but I can't talk conversation with females to save my life and im to embarrassed to open up that's why I can make friends I know how to speak aside from my stutter and lisp and random quricky and odd things I say but I don't know cues they only cue I pick up and get it mostly right is lying I know if someone Is lying especially a female I can tell after a few days I failed my asvab for the military but I got a 21 score which credited me the job of a detective 🕵️‍♂️ I over think 🤔 everything I worry to much no one pulls wool on me I'll smell you light years away but Alas that was a rant and my point of aspergers and my adhd which I didn't say earlier I'm weird

This app really isn't for finding people to talk to romantically, more to find others going through similar struggles for solidarity and advice. It seems like you separate yourself from other people in a very "me vs them" mentality, which won't help you find people that will relate and connect with you. Try thinking of yourself in a less isolated way and remember that everyone (just like yourself) has strengths and weaknesses. You may have better luck making friends and finding a partner if you treat others as equals!

The top bar on your homescreen lets you filter for different conditions, so you can select for ASD specifically! Unfortunately things aren’t necessarily chronological so I’ve definitely been confused by the feed I get. Also, maybe start by calling them “women” or “girls” and not “females.”

If there's two things I am good at, it's making people feel awkward and navigating a conversation with as little social awareness as possible! Let's all avoid each other's eye contact in public
