High Cholesterol and Blood Sugar - Need Advice

I recently had blood work done and I am freaking out because my cholesterol was like 286 and my LDL was around 210. I am currently waiting on the doctor to decide what to do. Also I have been having high blood sugar. I never had this problem before and it is scary but it does run in my family. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I eventually had to be put on meds, but I still try to eat things to naturally lower cholesterol! Like: oatmeal, apples, beans, veggies, chia seeds (I put them in my oatmeal and smoothies), salmon...these are my faves. There are lots more though. Something else I do is take Metamucil every day. It will make you poop though, lol.
