I found out through an upper endoscopy. It was just found, wasn’t expected. Retrospectively I can see symptoms that I thought were due to another condition: upper abdominal pain, fullness after eating, sometimes regurgitation of pills or food, chest pain, acid reflex/heartburn, feeling of lump in throat. I believe those can be due to hiatal hernias, so I assume that’s why I have those symptoms, but I’m still waiting to discuss things with my doctor.
