Hi there people, I'm diagnosed autistic, but spotting a lot of ADHD traits as well, given how long it took to get my autism diagnosis I'm reluctant to go through it all again for an ADHD assessment, but also appreciate what potential benefits there could be?

I would definitely have better access to support with a diagnosis, but there was so much waiting and being handwaved away with diagnoses of depression and anxiety.

Definitely getting accommodations if you are in school and if you are ever hospitalized, and getting medication to help relieve ADHD symptoms that you wouldn’t be able to get without a diagnosis are just some of the benefits.
