Lexapro and Chronic Fatigue: How Does It Affect Energy Levels?

I have been on Lexapro since I have been 15, nearly 10 years now, and I have severe chronic fatigue. I’ve heard some experience fatigue as a side effect, however I had already been consistently tired for several years. How did Lexapro affect your energy levels?

I have had chronic fatigue since I was 17 and I’m 28 now. I’ve been on Lexapro for about 7 years. I’ve never thought about Lexapro causing the fatigue since I’ve been struggling with it much longer than I’ve been taking the meds.

I was on lexapro for 3 years (15-18) after that I switched to a different med. For me lexapro caused me to be tired, but I wouldn’t say extreme chronic fatigue. I was tired but still could stay awake and do things just a bit sleepy usually. I would recommend talking with your doctor about it more
