I have Hemiplegic Migraines. Diagnosed 20 years ago. It's been a long haul.

I had only one hemiplegic migraine (so far haha) but I assumed it was a migraine and not a stroke when it was happening because I already have migraines with aura. I couldn’t see (blurry, aura), I couldn’t talk (like my mouth was numb), the left side of my body was numb, the left side of my face didn’t move, and I also couldn’t remember who my uncle was (I don’t remember all the way, maybe it was just that so couldn’t think of his name). It only lasted about an hour.

hi! so at first i was diagnosed with “silent migraines” bc i didn’t get full on weakness till this year. i get numbness+tingling on one side of my body, with weakness. i’ll also lose hearing on that side and like drool. visual disturbances too. it’s a lot of stroke-like symptoms without having an actual stroke

I was misdiagnosed with ocular migraines and symptoms were similar to yours. Now they say it’s CAA. Cerebral amyloid angioplasty. I have constant headache and sometimes stroke like symptoms. Every doc says something different including Cleveland clinic

So I had a weird condition a few months ago that I had to see a neurologist for he’s trying to rule out everything. Hemiplegic was a thought. What has your symptoms been with it!?
