What Meds Have You Tried to Improve Gastric Emptying?

Yes. Is it effective. I have insomnia and take 100 of seroquel so my GI will not prescribe it due to increase risk of TD

I take 300 of Serequel and 300 of trazadone.and I take regalin every morning and the other I take every night. I am curious, What is TD?

TD is a movement disorder relate to antipsychotic. It can cause uncontrollable movements in your mouth, tongue.

It’s a side effect from antipsychotics. I started reglan. Also. Trazodone is relate to poor gastric emptying.

Thank you! I started Reglan and it’s very helpful. Do you take it daily. I was told my GI will only prescribe it short term and I’m afraid when I have to discontinue the med. I can actually work a full day again. Thank you for your advice.

Yea I wouldn’t take the Reglan because of the risk of TD and my GI was super relieved. And it’s not just your mouth and tongue. It can cause uncontrollable movements of your entire body and there’s no cure. My primary actually had it happen to a patient and now they constantly jerk the right arm and leg and they were only on it for 6 months. I take Linzess and that was a total game changer. It comes in different dosages so you can start low and see what you need.

Does Linzess help your GP pain! I have to go back to GI for follow up and need something bc when I titrate down On the Reglan my pain returns. Thank you so much for the information
