Heavy Periods Due to PCOS

TMI … but I literally woke up covered in my own period blood this morning… I’ve been told because of my PCOS that’s why I’ve had heavy irregular periods but never this heavy before where I’m using 2-3 pads at once and changing them like 4,5,6 times a day :/

I’ve dealt with this for over 25 years and I can say taking a vitex chasteberry supplement or myo-inositol with d-chiro inositol supplement helped me to have lighter periods and only slight pain associated with the periods…I used to have to wear two of the bulky overnight pads all day to try and have adequate coverage. Wearing two at a time with constant changes was very costly!! I hope one day, they’ll have more research and options for treatment than just throwing birth control out there. Being on birth control long term causes issues too. Trust me, I know!!

I remember being on a pretty high dose of birth control and it made me bleed heavily for about a month.

You should really go to see a doctor. A similar thing happened to me and this went on for weeks on end and eventually I had to go to the hospital.
