Need Help with Heartburn and Stomach Cramps

so most of my life I have had really bad heartburn off and on, but it's been so bad lately that I can't sleep. I constantly taste acid in my mouth where I can't even lay down. and right now I have such bad bloating and cramps from gas. I can't find any relief between the heartburn and the intense stomach cramps from trapped gas, which has been going on for about 3 days. I would prefer not to take medicine, so is there any laying/relaxing positions that could help, or foods/drinks that can help me with one or both?

Hi! I would say to get a wedge to sleep on. It elevates your head so you get less reflux in your sleep.

Also, trying to eat foods with less fat helps. Cold things seem to be more soothing to me.

The stomach cramps depending on the location might not be related. I thought my pain/cramps was from all acid reflux but turns out I have another thing going on in my lower stomach which can also cause reflux problems a bit too. Just something to think about!

I would try elevating your head a little bit while you sleep. Also sleeping on your left side I believe is also supposed to help. I usually take alka seltzer chewables and I also mix a little bit of baking soda in water and drink that up.

Me right now 😐😐😐 on top of like untreated allergies. I literally took all the stomach medicine that I had too (spread out through the day not all together) I even ate cold foods soley and it didn't go away. Ugh. 😓

Long term..try not eating 4 hours before bedtime...only water or a calming herb tea..like chamomile xx good luck..
