Heart Palpitations: What Could Be Causing Them?

hello I will like to learn about my symptoms, i keep having a feeling in my chest as if my heart is skipping a beat. ECG tests shows normal and I am very worried because I know something is right. this fluttering sensation happens when I eat, especially when i take some sugary foods. this skipping of my heart happens only when i am at rest. any ideas please?

Correction: I *wouldn’t* recommend going straight to beta blockers.

These are most likely heart palpitations. High Caffeine intake or any other stimulants can cause this after years of use. Tobacco can also cause this. Sometimes this can be symptoms of anxiety and pain attacks so be sure you explore all your options with your doctor. If you don’t have a history of heart palps I would recommend going straight to beta blockers because once you start your heart will become dependent on them to beat correctly. This is not medical advice just personal experience.😊 I really hope you find a solution!🫶🏽
