Heart Palpitations and Constipation

does anyone else get light headed and have heart palpitations when they can't go? like I've been trying to get things more regular after quitting my job and trying to decrease stress about being unemployed and home all the time. but it's causing me some intense heart palpitations and worse so when I get stopped up.

If I don’t go for days it feels like I’m “pregnant with a poop”. This is how I describe the uncomfortable feeling to people who don’t experience IBS or constipation. My whole day is essentially ruined until I go. But I’ll silently suffer through it and push myself through the day because I don’t have a choice. If I’m lucky relief comes early or I’m up at night after the household goes to sleep dealing with it. But to answer your question, yes I feel my heart rate go up and I’ve even popped blood vessels in my face and neck from pushing so hard. When I was a kid I’d pass out on the toilet from exhaustion.

i have issues like that too. laying down and propping my feet up sometimes helps me! drinking some cold water or putting an ice pack on my chest/stomach/low back also helps sometimes too

I actually have an icepack in my neck right now. I just wanted to make sure it was correlated. My anxiety is driving me up the wall and honestly health anxiety sucks lol
