At birth. But it wasn't diagnosed until age 4. Then I got my first hearing aids and speech therapy. (I didn't talk at all before that).

My mother started noticing it in my mid twenties. I got the hearing test and found out I had significant hearing loss/was offered hearing aids in my early 30s when it started to become unmanageable.

Have you had trouble adapting to the hearing world too? I can barely wear my hearing aids because I get so overwhelmed with all the noise.

Birth. I went to a school for HoH for a while, wore one of those ancient white box hearing aids with the cone, but after we moved (military) my family just...ignored it. I finally got actual hearing aids a few years ago at 37, and now I'm all messed up because I can't get used to all the noise.
