Switching ADHD Medications After Years on Adderall

So I am starting a new ADHD medicine and it is Dexmethylphenidate. I have been on Adderall since I was in 6th grade and I'm out of college and work full time. Anyone ever switch medications years later?

I've cycled through a few, started with Concerta for a few years, then to Vyvanse, now adderall until I'm out of school and have time to find something that works better.

I didnt switch ADHD meds, but I have switched other psych meds a bunch. And other meds. I was on one for 6 years but it stopped working so I had to switch. So yes!
