Just diagnosed with Hashimotos, looking for support

I was just diagnosed in March my mother and Aunt also have it as well. Got a TPO antibody test. Didn't really expect it to come back positive but it did. Since, my mother told me to go GF. What a difference!! I may have celiac disease too but I would have to eat gluten to get tested. Terrified to do it bc I get so sick if I eat it now. But thankful bc I never would have known gluten was a problem for me.

That’s crazy! I’ve been gluten free for years now… Helped my stomach a ton. Wonder if that’s been helping my thyroid too until now. I don’t want to get tested either! Don’t want to risk the pain. I wonder if there is an association with Hashimoto’s & Celiac.

Same! I was diagnosed after presenting with Myxedema Crisis. But I’ve had hypothyroidism since I was a kid.
