I take levothyroxine. Not sure what side effects to look for. Can you tell us your side effects?

Levothyroxine is the best medication to treat hashimoto's. If you are experiencing symptoms I recommend speaking with your doctor about a dose adjustment. That being said, If you are absolutely sure you want to change medications you might talk to your doctor about armour thyroid or cytomel

this drug effects everyone differently but one of the common side effects could be dry mouth and skin and eyes, hair loss, muscle aches and constipation just to name a few.

Like I said levothyroxine is the best option but not the only option. If you are having side effects you could talk to your doctor about armor thyroid or side cytomel.

I've been on the this med and it's not the best option of of yet for me. I wanted something more on the natural side and I don't think it actually exists as of yet. A good doctor is extremely difficult to find.

armour thyroid is as natural as it gets (it's pig thyroid hormone) but it isn't without risks which is why it isn't commonly used.

If Hashimoto's is the cause of your hypothyroidism, then you might explore if you have any specific auto-immune triggers. Food sensitivity? Allergy? Nutritional deficiecy or imbalance? It is frustrating because most PCPs look at TSH number, and if it's good, then oh well I am doing great and I have thinning hair and no eyebrows because of age, not thyroid auto-immune.

Hello! I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s but doctor didn’t tell me that it might be food or allergy related. Thank you for bringing it up. Are there specific foods more so than others you know of that might cause Hashimoto’s ? Please share 🙏🏻

The thinning eyebrow and loss of hair are common when the individuals have a hypothyroid condition but than so is weight gain and feeling cold at 60 degree weather
