The Harmful Effects of Stereotyping on Society

Ugh.. can society just grow up already?! like c'mon, hating on different types of people when they've done nothing to you and them thinking that its ok to do so really disgusts me. I'm not saying that I don't respect their opinions but it crosses the line when you just hate on them for it when it's not even their fault, they might've turned out differently than you but that's no excuse and they continue to stereotype you like you being different is a bad thing when it shouldn't be. They think this stuff doesn't hurt anyone when really, it hurts a lot. in the beginning we think that we should always trust the people closest to us but that sadly isn't true most of the time. Just like the saying "keep your friends close but you're enemies closer." its a saying that tells you that things are not always what they seem when it comes to friends and/or family. since you trust them, like almost always.. they take advantage of it by stabbing you in the back. (so in other words, your enemies will teach you who to trust and who not to trust.) I understand that not everyone agrees with me (I respect all opinions as long as you don't take them too far and start any kind of drama.) but I just wanted to get my point across since I kept this to myself for way too long. (I also shared this since I'm going through something similar that no matter what I do to to keep good mental health.. I just can't fix my mental issues.) Always remember that not everyone is who they say or act like they are both online and in person.
