My family. Mostly my mom. She's a nurse. Has been for a long time. Ever since my attempt...I've been the child she constantly dismisses or gets mad at. Having them be critical of everything I do. Feeling trapped. I can talk all I want, but they don't choose anyone but themselves. I messed up the image we had when it was a cesspool when I entered. Meds, therapy, people I thought I knew. They don't want to be around you. You are the reminder that not every thing in life is optimism and positivity.

I think for me, it was realizing how much I didn’t listen to my body and that I let myself be in more pain than I ever should’ve let myself be in. I felt that pain for too long, pushed it aside thinking I was just weak, and my body fell into disrepair. I finally found medication that works for me and helps my body be the best body it can be for me now, though some of my issues were preventable and that’s hard too. Listen to your body, care for it, and give it what it needs to heal.

I adore this answer so much because I resonate with it deeply. I work in the natural health field now and this was a key, key, key part for me: trusting myself.
