Dismissed by my gyno oncologist for recurring yeast infections and lump on vulva

I had my 3 year check up with gyno oncologist and I’ve been having horrible yeast infections for the last year. I’ve mentioned this before to her and also I feel like I have a lump on the right vulva. She basically brushed me off and said I have to loose weight. Has anyone had issues after surgery?

I noticed a swelling near my throat. I honestly thought it was something wrong with my thyroid. Never occurred to me that the cancer was back. I made an appointment with my primary care provider who sent me for an ultrasound. That looked suspicious so I was referred to a surgeon who did a biopsy of the lymph node affected. If it hadn't been for that swelling on my neck, I'm not sure when I would have known. I've still never noticed the tumor in my abdomen.

I'm sorry your doctor brushed you off. If you're really concerned, you may want to see a different doctor (primary or regular gyno). I bounced back from my hysterectomy fairly well and haven't had any trouble with that particular area since. Unfortunately, my cancer came back two years later and had metastasized to 2 other spots. I've been doing chemo for the past three years with good results.

hi Yes I also had a radical hysterectomy they took everything. I was 1A didn’t need any further treatment. It is definitely harder to recover foe me because I have fibromyalgia. But it wasn’t that bad. Just make sure you try to get up and walk around and don’t focus on fhe discomfort.
