Yah I used to be nervous about it but I think even if I had a girl doc I still would. They all up in my business but there professionals. They were through a lot of school for this. If they didn't want to help women and not find out bodies fascinating then they wouldn't be on the field. They also see a million vaginas everyday so it's literally no big deal to them.

My obgyn is a guy. And I do have sexual trauma, it was hard to trust him. But when we found out I had a 7in cyst on my ovaries he was the only doctor that was willing to see me the next day. He came in the room and told me he scheduled surgery for me, offered me pain meds if I needed them ( I did desperately) and talk to me for a while about it to make sure I knew what was going on. After that he had to do a pelvic exam, and it ended up triggering me. But he was gentle and slow and told me everything that was going to happen as well as while he was doing it and understood. I've truthfully have found that the guy obgyn's are much more nice and listen and are MUCH more empathetic towards women than women are. I'd be lost without him. I'm actually gonna call mine tomorrow to ask him about thr new birth control he recommended and about testing me for emdemtriosis. ( sorry if this was way too much but I hope it helps. )
