Recommendations for good gluten free snacks, cereal, bread, and pancakes? I am going on an elimination diet and might have to cut it out completely.

There are these gluten free little pop tart things from whole food that I love, and you'd be surprised about how many chips and snacks you can eat like lays (lol the poppables are my fav), fritos, corn chips, etc. Also in terms of breads/pastries, Udi's has great muffins and stuff like that but imo the bread is very bad. If you do really want to eat bread tho, regardless of brand it tastes so much better if it is toasted, ie. making grilled cheese. Hope that helps!

If you want to keep bread in your life, I recommend sourdough, because some sourdoughs are gluten-free. Great for sandwiches! When I was on an elimination diet I ate dried banana chips when I craved something sweet. I found that most non-citrus fruits (excluding strawberries and apples which may be an irritant for some people) work really well.

Canyon bake house has amazing bread and bread products like bagels (the blueberry is amazing!). I also love simple mills crackers, they have all kinds of different flavors. Katz has yummy donut things. Really do some research on what things might have gluten in it, has gluten isn’t just wheat and that’s the only thing they typically label in the allergen part.

Thanks! Are you dairy free by any chance? I’m wondering which dairy free cream cheese tastes the most like cheese

Simple mills has great gf pancake mixes etc! And as for other stuff- honestly if you’ve got a health food grocery store near you, there’s always great gf/df food selections. Trader Joe’s has awesome gf bagels, sprouts sells these amazing gf/df mini doughnuts, Whole Foods has lots of options… btw if it’s your first time dairy free, do not even bother with daiya cheese. It is hellish imo. Follow Your Heart cheese is where it’s at 👌🏻

Also my favorite go-to snack is df yogurt and toppings! My favorite combos are granola and berries or almond butter and chocolate chips❤️

i’ve tried daiya and it’s not bad, tastes similar to cheese, but it’s just not the same. where did you find follow your heart?
