Does anyone still have bouts of constipation and diarrhea even though being completely gluten free? I have been completely gf since June of 2019 and still struggle with constipation and diarrhea. You never feel well when you are going through weeks of these. I never get a break from one or the other. Can anyone help out here ?

yes! diagnosed celiac & IBS in 2011, now 11 years later still adhering strictly to the gf diet, dealing with the same! just had another EGD & colonoscopy since i was having extreme pain and bloody stools.. hoping for some answers. it's frustrating knowing you're doing everything right and still being in pain, hang in there❤️

I have been gluten free for 16 years and I developed IBS from being gluten intolerant and being sick for so long. I used to only have diarrhea, but a few years ago it changed to constipation. About a year ago that changed to being regular to swinging between constipation and diarrhea. IBS is a really pain in the butt, literally.

I have both also. Constipation the most. Diet Coke actually acts like a laxities for me.

I have gastroparesis and Celiac Disease.

I deal with both but when I was diagnosed with celiac by biopsy, I also had a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis. I get basically the same symptoms with that but usually caused by too much fiber or sugary foods or spicy things. It's possible you have something else going on with the celiac. I've been gluten free since Jan of 2019 and I still get bouts of D and it's from that inflammation.

Could be another food sensitivity. Or, if like me, an issue with your vagus nerve.

I wouldn't know what a regular BM schedule would be like. I haven't had one in 5 years since being diagnosed with Gastroparesis and Celiac Disease.
