Hey! I have been really struggling with giving up control within my system. I have lost trust in my alters, but I'm starting to get so burnt out by fronting all of the time. How can I let go of control and regain trust?

Trust has always been an issue with me personally so losing trust with alters is a big deal for me. It's hard to remember that while yes they're here to protect me in some form or another, they are also their own people. I'd trying to communicate with them about why you've lost trust. Maybe there's a remedy or reason behind whatever happened to make you lose trust with them in the first place.

I've tried notes and other small things. Do you have any that you can talk with in any capacity?
@Fynnagain yes I do

@MysticSpork have you seen if they need more freedom ? Giving mine some more freedom is me reaching out trust and giving some control to them. For one he gets a week a year to do basically whatever he wants and that helped with me

To let go of control and regain trust in your alters, it's important to communicate with them and understand their roles within the system. Remember that every system is different and evolves over time. Building trust takes time and patience, so try to be open to their thoughts and feelings, and work together as a team.
