My doctor has me prescribed to 400mg of Gabapentin (3× daily). My dosage is maxed out according to them. I suffer from severe nerve issues that cause it to feel like I have jolts of electricity shooting through my arm and leg. It hurts both all day and night. They refuse to put me on anything else, I was given Tramadol after my nerve surgery (that failed and caused more problems) on my arm and hand in May of 2021. I saw some people mention a drug that they considered a "miracle drug" called Naltrexone. Has anyone here been prescribed this for chronic pain? How did you convince your doctor to let you try it? I am so tired of being dismissed and ignored by doctors and nurses. I am in pain 99.8% of the time. I literally wake up, to hurt. I need help. Cannabis is not legal here in Georgia, even for medicinal use.

Hi everyone, I don't always see when you reply, sorry, do appreciate your good energy. I've been not ok, weaning myself off the fiorcet. Leaving some to make it through part of the holidays. Kept hoping there would be mercy from my Dr. or another professional. Instead all they offer is spine injections and I'd rather croak, then take that. I tried drinking whiskey, which I'm not a drinker. Even that helps a little but can't drink that much. Was reading about a pain clinic in Pittsburgh,and the Dr plead guilty to pushing those injections on his patients and charging for some he never gave. It's the same here in Mississippi, the same sick game. The CDC now says people shouldn't be in so much pain,and some chronic sufferers should be kept on some opioid. It could take years for Doctors to heed that. So It's been a let down of a week. I started seeing a therapist,told me to move to Thailand or order through the mail Ultram etc. Crazy talk,my sister was pissed she said that. I wouldn't trust that,and God only knows what poison like fentanyl could be in it. I'm cancelling my appointment. So prayers or good vibes 😻 please. I totally understand what it is for y'all. Looking for help for pain management my doctor's don't listen to me

I am so frustrated! Why in the world can’t someone who has a chronic pain condition get pain medication? I have been dealing with Fibro since 2005 and since have developed lower back pain and arthritis in my knees and hips. It is affecting my daily life now to the point now that I don’t feel like doing anything. I am under treatment for depression, anxiety, and insomnia but none of this helps the pain! I have tried Cymbalta, Savella, Gabapentin, and am currently on a low dose of Lyrica d/t weight loss and it was making me loopy. I am going to start acupuncture but I am skeptical. Am I supposed to suffer the rest of my life? I am only 47 and I still have things I want to accomplish!
