Seeking advice on getting diagnosed with AS

i am not diagnosed with AS however have been experiencing similar symptoms for over two years now. i want to see a doctor about this concern but not sure how to go about bringing up possibilities of AS. how did you guys go about getting diagnosed? and what symptoms sparked concern? any tips?

They put me on methotrexate, he just said it was one of the most common arthritis medications and that it may help😅 I’ve just been in pain for so long, I’m almost willing to try anything

What medicine? I would not take any meds without knowing what they are treating. But that’s just me

My doctor did tests for arthritis and other rheum disorders, and also like autoimmune disorders, For me, my doctor said you Caaaan do the genetic test but that it’s not a sure answer, so we’re doing a medication trial and if it helps my body, it’s definitely AS

I made an appointment with a rheumatologist and she did blood work. I was positive for the HLA B27 Gene which is the gene for AS
