Has anyone had the GERD wrap procedure?

Currently struggling on high PPI medication regimen partially due to having a hiatal hernia where my stomach has herniated up into my esophagus so the sphincter can't close properly. Currently being presented with the option of doing the GERD wrap procedure to correct the hernia and strengthen the sphincter but this involves wrapping the top of the stomach around the esophagus. If any of you have had this procedure I would like to know how it went for you? Right now surgery plans are being held due to pre op testing not being available, in the meantime my GI doc is doing a ph monitor where I have to be off of medication, wondering if there is anything you have tried to help lessen reflux symptoms and effects without the use of medications?

I had the surgery. My stomach has returned to my chest. So, that's a fail. Pepcid is now a daily requirement and I am going back to a partial liquid diet as it seemed to help.
