What does GERD feel like? No burning sensation here.

@hellogoodbye I had the same experience I felt like I was having a heart attack and it got worse and worse until I had pantoprazole and the “GI cocktail” in the ER. Usually it’s the esophageal spasms that feel like a heart attack and are supper painful.

If acid reflux the best I’ve found (for me) is the “purple pill”. I NEVER even feel like I have acid reflux if I take it daily. But of course get your Dr’s recommendation.

So, I found out I had gerd when ny esophagus swelled shut and I couldn't swallow and had issues breathing. Now I have chronic hoarseness in my voice, severe heartburn, gas, gastritis, my esophagus had to be stretched, the typical symptoms. You could totally have silent gerd which is gerd without the symptoms obv lol But your symptoms line up with it. It took a while to catch mine, so mine may have been getting worse over time silently.
