Do you tic more when talking about tics?

Does anyone else experience this? I have concerns that others may think I'm faking, due to the fact that (with my medication) I don't tic very often anymore. However, whenever someone mentions tourettes, tics, or I think something along the lines "hey, I dont think I've ticced today" It usually always triggers a tic. I just hate being in a conversation, then if someone brings up tics, only THEN I start ticcing. Anyone else experience this?

I actually under the same boat as you, my tics are almost none existent till someone mentions them. Idk about you but i grow up all my life being told to hide it and that it was a horrible thing... so i think that factored into it. But as i got older ive learn to not care if someone thinks im faking it or not.

I believe that it’s like when someone speaks about lice and I start itching my head..😅 seriously, why would someone think you’re faking? Just say what’s on your mind.. “I’m doing much better these days, but somehow I always tic when someone mentions it”… do you think it could work?
