My Dr. just changed my medication from Omeprazole to Protonix . I heard it is Better , but , I’m still taking Apple cider vinegar in my Chamomile tea at night.

Omeprazole was part of a two stage treatment prescribed for me. I started with six months of the Omeprazole and then Famotidine after that. The Famotidine is working pretty well. My symptoms are significantly reduced in both severity and duration. Also, like Fangirl said above, sleeping at an incline has helped greatly.
Is Omeprazole really bad
I took Nexium for about a month and changed my diet. I avoid tomatoes and sauces, spicy things, citrus, soft drinks, coffee and alcohol. I sleep at an incline. I’m completely off medications now for two months and it is pretty much under control. I have a small hiatal hernia that caused my GERD.
Apple cider vinegar
@RockyLuciano I Love Apple Cider Vinegar in my tea at bedtime.
Yes it slows down gastric emptying
Protonix works for me too. I take it twice a day. I also stop eating four hours before I lay down at night.
Protonix is helping me. Maybe some minor side effects but it has helped curb my episodes tremendously along with severe diet changes.
