What to Expect from Genetic Testing in London?

I've recently been referred for genetic testing in London. anyone who has been through the process, what can I expect from it?

So I'm not uk based but my eds was diagnosed by a genetic doctor here in the states for us they focus on the bridginton test for bending and family/medical history most insurance won't cover the blood testing unless veds is suspected over all it's typically not painful but will take a long time if they go through everything mine was almost 2 hours long

is the bridginton test like the Beighton scale as I've already been assessed using that? In the UK, the blood tests will be covered by the nhs, so I will have them, most likely. Could I ask what took 2 hours though as I thought I would have a chat about my symptoms and then they would take blood samples. I'm not sure what would take so long?
