Yep I’ve had it done while I’m residential care by the doctor there. Just one thing to remember that is that while these can predict how your body may react to meds there are cases where a med predicted to work or not work may do the opposite. But they are generally accurate.
I have been talking about this with my ARNP lately and I have heard good things from other people. My body is super reactive to drugs and I seem to metabolize them differently than other people too
You should clarify this with your doctor because I could be wrong but my understanding is that the tests predict how well your body will absorb the medication based on genetic enzymes, not necessarily how well a medication will treat the symptoms of your disorder. This gives your doctor a good starting place but it's not a definitive list of which drugs will or won't work for you; like a nice reference point.
Oh k thank u
Yes. It's worth it because there are so many drugs out there It's hard to know what will work.
