Can You Have Gender Dysphoria Without Feeling Like the Other Gender?

reaching out to see if anyone relates can you have gender dysphoria but not feel like the other gender i cant say I feel like a woman I don't even know what it is to feel like a woman even though I was born one, but I wouldn't say I want to be a man either I have quite moderate to severe lower dysphoria I've looked there maybe twice in my whole life and I have moderate upper dysphoria and bind every day its quite confusing so just wondered if it was a thing to have dysphoria but not transition.. thanks in advance 😊 xx

I'm sort of similar. I've adopted gender-fluid bc sometimes I'm ok with my top and other (most) days I'm not. Most of the time I'm ok with my bottom but only if it's not referred to as "womanly" or "lady parts". It helped many times over to have a hysterectomy so I don't ever have to deal with bleeding on my more dysphoric days. Using medical terms (vuvla, vagnia, breasts) for the body part I received from birth and development helps tremendously for my dysphoria as well. I wasn't born a woman, but I was assigned female at birth. Making that distinction is important to me.

Hi! I'm genderqueer and I've experienced dysphoria my entire life. I remember being a very young kid and feeling like "not a boy or a girl" and having issues with my body. I have very similar issues. I don't plan on going on hormones, so I won't "transition" that way, but I feel like I still transitioned into my "new" self. I didn't see it as more masculine or more feminine, just figuring out what feels right. I know im not agender like you are, but if you wanna talk about stuff, my inbox is open! 💕
