Gemcitabine Treatment Side Effects

I will be starting a 6 round of Gemcitabine instilled in bladder on 2/24. I know my urologist says that there are no side effects but I am so fatigued afterwards for 2 days. Does anyone else get side effects from Gemcitabine treatment?

Tomorrow will be my second round with the same chemo they told me there would be no side effects also. But I had chills just couldn’t get warm and ran a fever of 99.2 And the temp was gone by the next morning. I was still cold and totally wore out…….. So tired for two more days. After that I felt back to normal but since I have my chemo‘s on Monday I guess it will start all over again

Hi Cotton , My Urologist told me that sometimes the effects of chemo and it's symptoms can affect people on a range of intensities but generally is tolerated well by most people . I hope it gets easier for you .

Just finished my 6 treatments...I was fatigued after every treatment for about 2 days...the doctor said that it was a sign that the treatments were working...those that were not affected by it did not receive benefits from the treatment
