Need help breaking my sugar addiction with gastritis

Recently got diagnosed with gastritis. I started the anti-inflammatory diet, however, sugar has been really hard for me to eliminate. Anyone has any good suggestions to break this bad habit?

Maybe you can substitute sweet snacks for berries instead? You could get frozen berries and eat them as a snack. Or dried cranberries with no added sugar.

I just got diagnosed with gastritis a couple of days ago. I’m looking for any tips or tricks for an anti-inflammatory diet or medications that help.

You'll definitely go through withdrawal but then it'll get easier. Eating berries is a good idea to replace other sweets during your transition or even eating a small spoonful of a high quality raw local honey now and then can help. The first couple weeks suck and then it gets easier. After a month or so you'll feel so different. Keep it up! 💕

I struggle with the same issue. I definitely like my sweets.
