I had a j tube for 3 months and yes, you can eat while using it BUT you are connected to a long tube, a pump and a bag. It is not fun to deal with all the protocols with a feeding tube. I went to using it just at night and that was better but if you get up in the middle of the night you have to take it all with you.

I had a total gastrectomy in 2021. I don’t know anyone with this same condition as I live in a remote area of the USA and I am new as to how to deal with nutrition with this condition. The only gage I have is keeping my weight stable and feeling weak if I don’t eat often.
