Hello, I have GAD and I've been experiencing shortness of breath lately upon waking up in the morning. I also get it throughout the day, but the morning time tends to be more severe. I've been to the doc. My lungs and heart are fine. Does anyone else experience this? Is this just anxiety?

      Yes!! I used to experience this bad as a kid! I used to get shortness of breath often because I used to get so anxious, and they would give me a paper bag. It still happens to me today every now and then but I find tapping alternatively with your hands on your chest and focusing on your breathing helps, as well as grounding exercises like 5 things you can touch, 4 things you can see, and so on.

      I also experience this, unfortunately. Have you tried doing breathing exercises when it happens? I do those until the shortness of breath subsides.

      Happens to me allllll the time. I've had / am having a whole cardiac work up bcuz of it. Mg anxiety is so bad in the mornings

        @beautifulDisasterxo same thing would happen to me. I take meds now and that seems to have stopped it

      It has happened to me before, i was told to breathe into a paper bag, honestly a gave mask worked better for me, and it didn't look as silly hehe
