Frustrations of Living with Type 1 Diabetes

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've made a post on here. I hate that I'm diabetic. I don't want to be negative at all... But I need to vent. Having type 1 diabetes is difficult and annoying. Anytime I get an infection of some kind, I do some research about how I can maintain until my slow, stupid doctors decide that it's convenient for them to get back to me.... all I ever see is type 2 diabetic this, and type 2 diabetic that. if I was a type 2 diabetic, I would have initially typed that into my search bar. I always make sure I emphasize my searches around type 1 diabetes. it feels like all of the research and all of the technology that has been created, type 1 diabetic patients still are still of minor importance. I can't find OTC medications that are truly safe for me to use, and I when I do, it's after the fact of me buying something that I didn't know was "not recommended" for me to use. I'm so frustrated with being diabetic.
