Frustration with Explaining Diabetes to Therapist

i cant be the only one who feels this way.. i wish i had a type 1 diabetic as a therapist.. i dont think mine is bad, shes helped me through a lot, but honestly, ive spent more sessions explaining diabetes to her than i have gotten actual cathartic relief from my diabetes, i am CONSTANTLY the educator on my auto immune disease, i just wish i didnt have to explain these things to people in the first place, it hurts knowing i wont get the specific relief i need from someone who wont get it really without me pausing my distress and putting on the educator hat, once a-freaking-gain
