Frustration with Conversion Disorder Diagnosis

I am with you though. From my readings, it is much like BPD. Overdiagnosed and so much still unknown.

I am new to this diagnosis but have discovered that mine resulted from sexual abuse as a young child that I had blocked most of until recently.

I agree. I got diagnosed when I was 11, the symptoms came after I turned 10. There was no traumatic event in my life to trigger it and been in counseling long before for my anxiety. When I go to specialists, all they say I could do is try therapy and symptom management. Which I was doing all along even before I was diagnosed.

I feel you, it's so frustrating when the doctors know pretty much nothing about it
