Frustrated with Doctors: Seeking Professional Help

I feel like I keep hitting a wall when dealing with doctors. I push for further tests and self-advocate about my needs, and symptom pattern spotting. But it seems like doctors keep giving up on me, and the answer is always to wait it out. I try to be preemptive about my testing and ask questions about possible side effects, but I’m given answers like “anything could happen”. I just need doctors who are mindful of my sensitivities and willing to do more in-depth testing. I’m tired of being the expert, I just want a professional that can help me find answers and cope.

I think I’m dealing with the same thing, at least, it feels like it. My PCP isn’t very “urgent” about any of my concerns even though I keep expressing my concerns

I'm dealing with that also. It's so mentally draining to go to doctor after doctor about your symptoms only for them to push you away and say you're fine, it's all in your head. Im on a waiting list for another therapist because my last one just told me all my experiences were human and not part of a mental disorder, which I know I have something. I had to beg her to diagnose me. I just want someone to look at me and tell me what's wrong.

Yeah I deal with that a lot. I’ve even been dropped by doctors because they just don’t know what to do with me. If you can afford it, there are some private companies that do testing for certain disorders, but those are usually pretty pricey. The best advice I’ve gotten to to just keep searching and pushing for what you know you need.
