Frustrated with Chiari Diagnosis and Driving Restrictions

Very frustrated. I was recently diagnosed with chiari and I'm not allowed to drive until September at the earliest. I hate relying on other people, but I had a seizure due to the condition. Got diagnosed at the ER after the friend who was visiting called for an ambulance. At least I know where all my health issues come from though.

Chiari is one heck of a condition. I was decompressed 9 years ago today, but I mostly had cognitive issues and pain and not seizures. Happy to talk if you want to message about it!

Wow that sucks! I had a similar issue. I went to the ER for vision problems to be told I needed emergency brain surgery within 24 hours! When can they do the surgery for you? Are they going to decompress, shunt or something else?

I havent been on here in too long lol. They aren't going to do anything. No medication, no surgery, nothing. I was told by the neurologist that my condition isn't even bad enough to have symptoms. And I DO have symptoms. But I'm thin so they think I'm healthy and fine πŸ™ƒ
