Frustrated with New Psychiatrist's Medication Choice
I'm super frustrated because I told my new psychiatrist that SSRIs are the least effective class of medication for me, and then he puts me on Trazedone for sleep. NOTHING knocks me out- I even wake up during procedures because my body metabolizes things so quickly. is that another diagnosis I need for someone to listen to me?

I have also found nothing that will knock me out, I don't wake up during procedures but nothing has helped with my insomnia

Maybe try getting an appointment with a different Dr? I had one Dr try to tell me my insomnia was sleep apenea just because I occasionally snore. Got a second opinion and was told it was literally just insomnia, that I have no signs of sleep apenea or anything else

I'm just so sick of playing ring around the doctor. As soon as I find one I like, I can't see them anymore. It's like a freaking curse.
