Looking for Free Therapy Apps

so, I want to get into trying to do therapy again and I want to use a therapy app but I can't afford it and I can't figure out the insurance aspect of it. does anyone know any therapy apps that might be free and I mean, completely free? I've tried teladoc and better help but I can't afford better help and my insurance is all kinds of frustrating with teladoc.

I've also been having trouble affording a therapist or finding one that takes my insurance. I find peer led support groups very beneficial at this time. Literally searched up "bipolar" on Meetup and I found a support group and RSVP'd to a meeting that same day. It felt so empowering sharing my truth and my traumas with a bunch of strangers who happened to get exactly what I was going through. And many of them were older and had more life/therapy experience so their words of wisdom truly felt like they were from the heart

Nocd ain't a bad one to try. I normally stay clear of that kind of stuff because of time and transportation. I can't go anywhere ,but I did do therapy in the past. For me, it seems like actually taking time off and not worrying about doctors is helping me. Maybe I'm just a special case. Welcome to talk to me about it.

I dont know about apps but you might want to look into psychology today. You can type in your location, insurance, and what services you need and it will find people to talk to and companies to look into

I definitely recommend this over apps. Most of the therapists listed on there offer teletherapy too. Betterhelp specifically will give your mental health data to third parties. It says so right in the privacy policy.

You could try using 7 cups to at least talk through some of your difficulties. It’s definitely not therapy, but it might be a good resource in the meantime
