Hi, nice to meet you guys. This is my first time using this app and hopefully I'm getting the hang of it.

      Welcome. It's a good site to share about the issues that I feel uncomfortable sharing with " normal" people, who think that b/c I can play pickleball 3 nights a week for a few hrs and don't "act" sick, they don't get & don't care about the meds that I have to take, to able to do that. I have found that unless you have good family support or are lucky enough to find a loving, caring friend( platonic or otherwise) you have to learn to be your best friend and be as compassionate & patient with yourself, as you would be with someone else who was suffering, as you do. I feel safe sharing my struggles, achievements & knowledge, here. I have found that any self-pity is a trap and being resentful makes it worse. I mentioned Dr Snipes, who talks about lots of different aspects of our psych & physical lives. From CFS to negative self talk & it's consequences. Her videos are a great resource for those of us who find living a meaningful life difficult. I wasted a lot of yrs being defeated and more being mad at the world b/c I had no energy & my husband was clueless. I have learned a lot about how my attitude was making everything worse. I was on strong painkillers which, after taking for more than a few months, sapped more of my energy. I also had a genetic component to my depression which when discovered helped me a lot. I'm glad to be here and am available to help anyone, within my abilities. You aren't alone.
