First Time Trying Anxiety Medication - Need Advice

I just took my first dose of my new anxiety medicine and I’m ironically riddled with anxiety about it. Can anyone share their experience with first trying medication out?

I had the same experience!! it was really anxious taking a med that I knew was going to impact my brain and how I was thinking and feeling. I'm guessing your doctor started you on the lowest dose, which shouldn't actually have any noticeable mental effects- it's just to get your body used to it. for me, I'm on Lexapro, which gave me a bit of a stomach ache for the first week but has since been such a huge help. I feel so much better and it's made my anxiety pretty much vanish. I know it's not always that easy for everyone, but no matter how it goes for you, you're strong and in control 💛
