Just wanted to put this out there. If you’re struggling with chronic migraines, whether it’s severe, frequent, daily, non-stop or all of the above, consider finding not just a neurologist, but a clinic that specializes in treating headaches. I didn’t know that was an viable option until a neurologist recommended it to me. I also wanted to find the root cause, and I felt like maybe them referring me to the headache clinic was them giving up on me…. And it sort of was. But I am so glad I looked into it because it made all the difference. They did a thorough evaluation. They started from scratch and addresses my variety of confusing symptoms, instead of only piggybacking off of what other doctors had said. They gave me a detailed regimen with all sorts of scientific migraine advice. They started me on natural supplements first, then meds only as needed. And they recommended other lines of treatment as well, that helped me recover. I know how desperate it can feel, but don’t lose hope. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I’m happy to share some of my regimen and what’s helped me if it can help anyone on this journey. 💕💜

@Solvi have you tried Botox? Do you have a comparison? How often do you get it done?

did you need a referral from your PCP or neurologist to go to this doctor or could you just go?

I have been doing dry needling for about a month and a half and it has really helped me. I got a script from my neurologist to have my physical therapist do dry needling on my neck.

@Tightrope dry needling is similar to acupuncture, it uses the same needles, but dry needling focuses on trigger point pain and muscle tension and helps get deeper into the muscles and to get them to release.
