Finding Love with BPD: Is it Possible?

I think it is possible to find true love with BPD. I have been in a loving relationship for over a year right now, however we both have mental health struggles. It's important to find someone who will work with you and try to understand your illness while you also work on yourself

so really, on top of finding someone who treats you right, find someone who will listen and try to understand you. don't make yourself small because you think you have to. there is someone out there who will love you, hear you, and work with you.

i realized that i should look into, and then was later diagnosed with, bpd after finding my boyfriend. he's my FP and there were times where i felt so strongly, i was sure that i was manipulating him. we've been together for about a year and 7 months, both sure that we are in love and there is no one we would rather have. i think the thing that has kept us going so strong is honesty, openess, and being willing to communicate. especially with the hard things. we've both been in really shitty, abusive relationships. so we talk through things that bother us. i talk about things he does that trigger me and let him know that i feel guilty asking, or feel like i'm manipulating him, and he lets me know that he'll change certain behaviors until i'm better/in a spot where i won't go through so much mental stress, and if we don't get to that point, then he'll be fine as long as i am happy and safe.
