How does a 40 yo mom of three, with alcoholism (7/20/11) and mental disorders find friends? Outside of Facebook. My sister and husband are great, but I'm so lonely.

Your not alone, I find it hard to find friends, life gets busy, so I try not to take it personally. I try to save conversations about my anxiety, and medical to the friend that I have had since my childhood, and leave it light with people I meet. I figure if they open up to me 1st then I might , but very cautious.

@Deathfuffy I'm sorry to hear.😄 I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I even got past my social anxiety and initiated several times! Am I that horrible? I'm funny, overly kind (to a fault as I get taken advantage of often). I mean I am awkward and weird lol

@Deathfuffy I thought I had made friends with a mom at a park while our kids played but she stopped replying to my texts when I told her about my ptsd. 😣

Yes I have a lot of trouble as well. I have my husband to talk to but no friends outside of him really. It’s hard not being able to connect with others like that. Always feel like my health issues are something that scares them away.
