Struggling to Find a Psychiatrist

having an awful time finding a psychiatrist. my old one kicked me from her office because I missed 2 appointments a year ago with a provider that hasn't worked there in about 9 or 10 months. sad that they don't realize that those of us in deep depression cannot always just jump up and stroll to our appointments. especially when talking on the phone even gives me anxiety.

I can't find one that isn't purely a med pusher and actually listens. IDK what I'll do when my meds run out.

My insurance would pay for some therapy, but finding a therapist taking new patients is impossible. Two of my doctors have made referrals, but no luck. Good luck!

Ugh yeah it’s so inaccessible. I’m hoping to get a new job soon with better insurance so I can ditch my current psych. He doesn’t listen and constantly fucks up my rx. I went this past week without my meds, and I’m doing job interviews right now so that was really bad timing. It took me months to find this guy too. It really is a struggle, I feel for you. they approved me for addiction therapy when I've never done drugs... I'm so mentally tired😥
