Struggling to Find a Hobby While Bed Bound

how do you find a hobby so you can get out of bed? i take maybe a total of 85 steps a day. and those are just going to the bathroom and stuff like that. im bed bound . its making me worse and my anxiety too ( i have ptsd depersonalization derealization health anxiety social anxiety bpd and depression) but i dont know what to do for a hobby because nothing brings me joy. i havent felt that real genuine happiness in a long time. i only feel tiredness anger and anxiety. i laugh when someone else is but i dont feel it? you know?

i relate to all this so much. always less then 100 steps a day when i don’t work & i don’t really have any hobbies that bring me joy either :/ it’s so hard. i like coloring sometimes but i haven’t done it at home in sooo long i mostly do it at work.. lol

I was gifted a Nintendo switch and it was so awesome because there's such a wide variety of games that can give you different tasks to keep busy, and it's all doable from your bed! I get really immersed sometimes. My favorites are Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and first person adventure games. That way I have little goals that are engaging to the mind and meaningful to me, while not being too tiring or strenuous.

baking always helps when i’m bed bound. ive also just picked up knitting which brought me so much joy after not being being able to find anything that brings me joy! if youre into challenges try finding something that will challenge you!

i like to make watercolors! or do a paint by diamond (always motivated me to get up and focus on something!) or make kandi (beaded crafts) or just anything creative cause creativity can get your happiness up

Try several things, and don't be discouraged if you don't like them. You got to try things to know if you enjoy them. Nature is also a good way to reconnect. I know it's not for everyone but I like taking short walks to get out of the house when my depression and anxiety get to be too much.

Try baby steps, thats what I'm doing because I'm dealing with the exact same thing... I try to even just go sit out in the living room for like 15 minutes and just that change of scenery helps a little

What about checking out the website “MEETUP”. They have groups online and in person . I’m looking for a metaphysical group to check out.

browse pinterest!!! try baking or drawing! you always start small, and don’t push yourself. just keep trying things until you find that one thing that you just enjoy doing all the time. it’s okay to experiment! just don’t stop and don’t give up! there’s something out there for everyone :)
